Napoli fans have reason to be concerned after the agent of their Italian international Jorginho attended the Argentina vs. Italy friendly at the Etihad Stadium on Friday night.
Joao Santos, who represents the Brazil-born midfielder, was in the stands as Argentina beat Italy 2-0, and according to RAI Sport he wasn’t just there to watch his client, who played 86 minutes before being replaced by Andrea Belotti.
Indeed, it is claimed by the Italian network that Santos was there to hold talks with both Manchester City and Manchester United, who have been linked with the 26-year-old.
Liverpool are also known to hold an interest in Jorginho, and it’s probable that his representative was gauging the interest levels of City and United, both of whom are looking to add midfielders to their squad in the summer.
Manchester United are losing Michael Carrick to retirement while Manchester City will bid farewell to the iconic Yaya Touré, and Jorginho could be an appealing candidate for either of the Mancunian giants.
