Premier League trio Manchester City, Manchester United and Arsenal are among a host of clubs taking notes on promising Benfica B youngster João Félix, according to O Jogo.
The 18-year-old plays for Benfica’s B team in the second tier of Portuguese football but is tipped to go far in the game and has scouts from all across Europe watching him.
Along with City, United and Arsenal, AS Monaco, RB Salzburg, Hamburg and Borussia Moenchengladbach are also watching him and Benfica could lose him before even promoting him to their first team squad.
Félix is Benfica B’s second top scorer this season with six goals, four of them in the league. Such is his potential, he is already protected by a €60million release clause and Benfica could look to promote him to the main squad for the 2018/19 season along with fellow starlets Florentino and Gedson.
Felix isn’t the only Portuguese youngster who Manchester City and Manchester United have their eyes fixed on, with Sporting’s prodigious young striker Rafael Leao on the radar of the Manchester giants.
