“I want to be somewhere I can play” Man City youngster reveals interest from France, England & Holland

Manchester City whiz-kid Thierry Ambrose has hinted that his future could be away from City after revealing that there is significant interest in him.

The 20-year-old has been impressive on loan at NAC Breda this season, recently hitting double figures in the Eredivisie and scoring against the historic ‘big three’ of Dutch football.

The France youth international’s form at the City Football Group partner club has not gone unnoticed and he said that he wants to be somewhere “he can play”, suggesting another move away from the Etihad Stadium – on loan or permanent – is going to happen.

“When the season is over, I’ll return to Manchester to discuss my future,” Ambrose told BN DeStem.

“I still have a two-year contract with City after this season. I want to be somewhere I can play.

“Besides the Netherlands, there is also interest from England and France. We will see.”

Ambrose is one of a number of youngsters out on loan who have seen their value skyrocket this season. Marcel Brands, technical director of PSV Eindhoven, recently revealed that City were asking as much as £13.2million for Ambrose’s fellow City loanee at NAC Breda, Angeliño, while the likes of Bersant Celina, Pablo Maffeo, Manu Garcia and Ambrose himself have seen their stock shoot after their impressive displays.

Pep Guardiola could choose to take a look at these youngsters in preseason, particularly with many of his big names set to play at the World Cup, meaning the youngsters will have plenty of time to impress the City boss in the summer.
