Watch: Manchester City cut open Stoke City with two beautiful team goals

Manchester City came up against a fairly stubborn Stoke City defence tonight and it took some lovely team work and passing to cut them open.

City’s opening goal was the first chance of the match after it had looked like they might have trouble unlocking a compact Potters defence. David Silva converted a Raheem Sterling cross though to give the Premier League leaders an early lead.

Then 40 minutes later, El Mago struck again after a lob from Gabriel Jesus found him. Silva still had work to do, smartly placing his shot beyond the on-rushing Jack Butland to make it two.

Both were examples of the pristine passing and teamwork that has come to define this special ‘Shark Team’.
