Manchester City trio receive international call-ups as confusion surrounds Aguero

Three of Manchester City’s Brazilian contingent have receive call-ups for the Seleção’s March friendlies against Germany and Russia.

Ederson, Fernandinho and Gabriel Jesus have been called up by Brazil coach Tite, while Danilo’s return to the national team has been cut short, with the City full-back not selected this time.

Meanwhile, Argentina have posted a finalised squad list for their friendlies against Italy and Spain, with Sergio Aguero still listed along with his City teammate Nicolas Otamendi.

Aguero sustained a knee injury while training yesterday and is out for at least two weeks, missing tonight’s game against Stoke City, but remains in Jorge Sampaoli’s selection.

According to famous Argentine newspaper Ole, national team doctors will check Aguero, but no risks will be taken. This will be made easier because their first game, against Italy, will be at City’s Etihad Stadium.
