Pep Guardiola has been handed a £20,000 fine and warned about his future conduct after he recently accepted an FA charge for wearing a yellow ribbon in support of jailed Catalonian politicians.
The FA’s statement, released at 4pm on Friday afternoon, read:
“Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has been fined £20,000 and warned as to his future conduct after admitting an FA charge for wearing a political message, specifically a yellow ribbon, in breach of The FA’s kit and advertising regulations.”
Guardiola continues to wear the ribbon before and after matches, but is no longer sporting it while on the touchline.
