David Silva was the surprise absentee from Manchester City’s training session on Tuesday afternoon, while Fernandinho and Fabian Delph were also missing.
City’s pre-Basel training session was open to the press, who noticed several were missing, but both Benjamin Mendy and Raheem Sterling were involved, with the latter potentially available for tomorrow if needed.

Silva’s absence is personal, with journalist Jose Alvarez revealing that the midfielder is in Valencia with family.
David Silva didn't train today because he is in Valencia. Nothing wrong happened, all his family is okay. He will come back at the final of the week.

With Silva missing, there could be a start for 17-year-old Phil Foden tomorrow night when City host Basel.
Asked about the possibility of local boy Foden playing tomorrow, Pep wouldn’t commit to an answer during his press conference earlier.
“We are delighted to have Phil Foden with us but he is still 17 years old and he’s a young guy,” Guardiola said to the media.
“But of course we are so happy with him and we have a lot of confidence with him, but maybe he will play tomorrow. We will decide on the line-up tomorrow.”
With the Blues having a 4-0 lead over Basel from the first leg, Guardiola is likely to rest a number of players ahead of the league game against Stoke on Monday night.
