Referee appointed for Stoke City vs. Manchester City (12/3/2018)

Manchester City will go in search of a win at Stoke City on next week’s Monday Night Football ahead of a de facto winter break that will see them head to Abu Dhabi, with no FA Cup game to prepare for the weekend after.

The man in charge of City’s trip to the bet365 Stadium will be Jonathan Moss, given his third City appointment of the season.

The 47-year-old Yorkshireman was previously in charge when City hammered Liverpool 5-0 at the Etihad Stadium back in September, sending off Sadio Mané for kicking Ederson in the head.

His more recent appointment was a less memorable day for Blues, the 0-0 draw against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park on New Year’s Eve.

It will be only Moss’ second Stoke assignment of the season after he had the whistle for their 0-0 draw against Watford on the last day of January.
