Manchester City have joined the race to sign Fulham whizkid Ryan Sessegnon according to both the Sunday Mirror and The Sun on Sunday.
The 17-year-old phenomenon, who is now regarded as one of the hottest properties in European football, is also wanted by Manchester United and Tottenham, while Real Madrid and Bayern Munich have also monitored the England youth international.
Originally more of a left-back, Sessegnon has been playing as a left winger for the Championship side this season, and has scored an incredible 14 goals in 35 appearances in England’s second tier.
United and Tottenham have been the more active with their interest, but two of the Sunday nationals are reporting that City are now showing interest and ready to rival their Premier League rivals for a player expected to cost over £40million.
Pep Guardiola is in the market for an attacker with goals in his locker, having failed to land Alexis Sanchez and Riyad Mahrez in January. Sessegnon, who would also be registered as ‘homegrown’ from the age of 21, could fit the profile of player Pep is looking for despite his tender age.
