Arsenal have confirmed that tonight’s Premier League clash with Manchester City is scheduled to go ahead as of 2pm GMT.
An official statement on the club’s website reads:
“Thursday night’s match against Manchester City at Emirates Stadium is scheduled to go ahead as planned.
We will continue to monitor weather conditions and work with local agencies but, unless there is a further announcement, the match is on.”
Manchester City players have arrived in London already, ending any fear of weather thwarting their travel plans (which would have led to them forfeiting the game 3-0!).

Tonight’s game comes on the heels of City’s Carabao Cup final win over the Gunners at Wembley, and the hosts will be desperate for a measure of revenge on a ground City have had little joy on since it opened.
