Pep Guardiola is 90 minutes away from lifting his first silverware on English soil, but it is much easier said than done with Wembley specialists Arsenal standing in the way.
The two Premier League goliaths go head to head this afternoon for the first available trophy of the season, the Carabao Cup. Guardiola has often fielded much-changed sides en route to the final, and penalties were needed to get past Wolves and Leicester, but City now find themselves with a big chance of winning a trophy.
Craig Pawson, who officiated the Arsenal vs. City game in last year’s FA Cup semi-finals, is in charge today.
Here are the starting lineups selected by Guardiola and his counterpart Arsene Wenger.
Arsenal XI: Ospina, Bellerin, Mustafi, Koscielny, Chambers, Monreal, Xhaka, Wilshere, Ramsey, Özil, Aubameyang
Manchester City XI: Bravo, Walker, Kompany, Otamendi, Danilo, Fernandinho, Gundogan, David Silva, Sané, Agüero, De Bruyne
