City fan Liam Gallagher: I’d like to delete Manchester United from the world

Manchester City celebrity fan Liam Gallagher isn’t afraid to say whatever is on his mind, no matter how controversial it may come across as.

And in an interview with The Guardian, the Blue-loving, Red-hating former Oasis man let it be known just how much he hates Manchester United.

Asked by Chris Mutter of Baldock: “If you could delete one thing for ever from the world, what would you choose?”

Liam replied: “Man United. All they do is bang on about their past. Listen: the past was yours but the future’s ours. Or mine.”

Vintage Liam. United have not finished above ‘noisy neighbours’ City since Sir Alex Ferguson’s final season in charge back in 2012/13, leading to the Blues establishing themselves as Mancunian football’s dominant force on the pitch.

With Mourinho’s United currently 16 points behind Pep’s City in the Premier League with 11 games to go, it is looking like that run will go on. And while that doesn’t delete Manchester United from existence, it’ll surely make Liam Gallagher (and his brother Noel) happy. As you were.
