Chelsea to demand Sergio Aguero if Manchester City make Eden Hazard approach – report

Chelsea would demand the Premier League’s best striker of the last seven years, Sergio Aguero, in exchange for their own star man, Eden Hazard, were Pep Guardiola to make an approach for the Belgian this summer, the Daily Star Sunday reports.

City have been linked with a British transfer record move for 27-year-old Hazard, with Pep Guardiola looking to add one more pacy forward to his squad, but the London club are not minded to strengthen a Premier League rival and even if resigned to losing Hazard, would prefer to sell him to Real Madrid.

This new report however, suggests that were City to part with their all-time record scorer, Aguero, then Chelsea might be willing to do business – and even then, only if Hazard himself pushed for a transfer.

Aguero’s future has been subject to constant speculation since Pep Guardiola arrived, with the 29-year-old at times not looking the perfect fit for Guardiola’s system.

In 2018 though, the iconic Argentine has been in stunning form, scoring 14 goals in just 11 appearances and has silenced many of his doubters.
