Brazil coach Tite has named 15 members of his 23-man squad to represent the Seleção in this summer’s World Cup – and two of them are Manchester City players.
Tite named Alisson, Dani Alves, Thiago Silva, Marquinhos, Miranda, Marcelo, Casemiro, Fernandinho, Renato Augusto, Willian, Paulinho, Coutinho, Neymar, Gabriel Jesus and Roberto Firmino as the 15 players who will definitely be heading to Russia for the event, which will run from 14 June to 15 July 2018.
That leaves eight spots vacant, and two names not on that list are City pair Ederson and Danilo.
There seems to be a good chance goalkeeper Ederson will make the cut, having received his first cap for Brazil against Chile in October 2017.
Danilo received a recall late last year after a year-and-half out of the Seleção, but with such intense competition and his bit-part role at City, he may face an uphill battle to make the 23-man squad.
