Roberto Mancini considers reunion with former Manchester City midfielder at Zenit – report

They won the Premier League title together on that legendary day in 2012, and soon Roberto Mancini and Samir Nasri could be reunited in Russia.

Nasri had his contract with Turkish side Antalyaspor torn up in January and is now looking for a new club, with several interested.

One of them, according to Russian source Sport-Express, is FC Zenit Saint Petersburg, the Gazprom-backed side currently coached by City hero Mancini.

Nasri’s representatives are reported to have gone to Zenit, offering the 30-year-old’s services, and the two sides are ‘still negotiating’.

The final decision may indeed lie with Mancini on whether to recruit Nasri, who he signed from Arsenal in the summer of 2011 and coached for two seasons at the Etihad.

İstanbul Başakşehir, West Ham and Mexican Liga MX side Tigres UANL were also credited with an interest in the former French international last month.
