FC Basel vs. Manchester City: Starting Lineups & TV Information

The Champions League gets serious tonight for Manchester City after they eased through the group stage, with the Round of 16 kicking off.

The Blues have been handed what, on paper, appears to be a kind draw against Swiss giants FC Basel, but there is rarely an easy game at this stage of Europe’s predominant competition, and Basel beat both Manchester United and Benfica in Group A.

City visit St. Jakob-Park for the first time and can expected a hostile reaction from fans of their overachieving opposition.

Swedish referee Jonas Eriksson is in charge of tonight’s fixture and here are the sides selected by Pep Guardiola and his counterpart Raphaël Wicky.

FC Basel XI: Vaclík, Lacroix, Xhaka, Suchý (c), Lang, Riveros, Dié, Frei, Stocker, Elyounoussi, Oberlin

Manchester City XI: Ederson, Walker, Kompany (c), Otamendi, Delph, Fernandinho, Gündoğan, De Bruyne, Bernardo, Sterling, Agüero

The match can be viewed on BT Sport 3 in the UK. A full list of TV coverage from around the world can be found here.
