David Silva is an early doubt for this weekend’s clash with Leicester City after missing training on Wednesday, Jose Alvarez Haya reports.
The 32-year-old missed the weekend draw with Burnley and after Manchester City players were granted a few days off, ‘El Mago’ still wasn’t able to train. There is still time for him to recover before Saturday afternoon’s clash, but for now he isn’t involved.
The good news from training today is that both John Stones and Phil Foden were back at it, training with the first-team squad, putting them in contention for Leicester.
David Silva have not trained today because he is not fully recovered. Stones and Phil Foden have trained with the rest of the team.

17-year-old Foden has been missing since he was the victim of a bad tackle against Leicester in December’s Carabao Cup tie, while Stones has missed recent games through illness then a mystery knee injury.
With both back in contention, it gives Pep Guardiola some much needed numbers for his injury hit squad, which saw him able to name only six substitutes at the weekend, with the under-23s having played the previous night, limiting the City manager’s options.
