A host of Manchester City youngsters are continuing their development in the Netherlands with City Football Group partner club NAC Breda, and one of them is in his second season at the club after helping them win promotion to Eredivisie in the 2016-17 campaign.
20-year-old Manu García is a youngster held in high regard at the Etihad and along with Pablo Marí, Angeliño, Thierry Ambrose, Paolo Fernandes and Thomas Agyepong, is currently stationed at the Rat Verlegh Stadion in Breda.
NAC are struggling, barely above the relegation zone, and lost both games in January, but García has been one of the few shining lights and his performances have been acknowledged. The Spanish playmaker has been named in FOX Sports’ Team of the Month for January, alongside highly-rated Dutch league players such as Frenkie de Jong and Matthijs de Ligt
This isn’t the first time a Manchester City loanee has made the Team of the Month, with Marí and Angeliño (twice) appearing in previous editions.
García, who made four first-team appearances for City in the 2015-16 season, is under contract at the Etihad until June 2020.
