Manchester City have turned away loan offers for academy wonderkid Rabbi Matondo, according to Mike McGrath of The Sun.
The 17-year-old Welsh youth international, is a hugely exciting talent and was considered to be Cardiff’s most promising academy prospect since Aaron Ramsey before Man City signed him in 2016.
But as a first year scholar, City have decided not to loan him out yet. EFL League One sides Bristol Rovers and Shrewsbury have both asked for him on loan, but City have rejected both offers.
Matondo will continue to play for City’s under-23 side for the remainder of this season. He has made 8 appearances in the Premier League 2 this season and has also played 6 times in the UEFA Youth League for the young Blues.
