Manchester City recently (and quietly) completed the expected transfer of USA under-20 captain Erik Palmer-Brown after he left Sporting Kansas City – and he’s heading to Belgium on loan.
That news comes from American journalist Brian Sciaretta, who has given an update on a deal that was first known about back in September.
Like so many of these ‘investment’ signings of late, there has been silence from Manchester City, meaning it requires an independent source to verify.
And Sciaretta reveals that Palmer-Brown, after joining City, is heading to K.V Kortrijk in Belgium’s top flight for the remainder of the season. The young centre-back should get plenty of minutes in a league well known for developing young talents.
I’m hearing from Europe that Erik Palmer-Brown will be going on loan for the remainder of the season to K.V Kortrijk of Belgium’s top flight. Solid move for the young American defender. He should get a good run of games in a league know for its development
