Monaco’s France under-17 international defender Benoît Badiashile is attracting interest from some of the crème de la crème of European football, Foot Mercato reports.
The centre-back is being closely monitored by Bayern Munich, RB Leipzig, FC Barcelona, Manchester City, Manchester United, and an unnamed French side, a prolific list of clubs who are all thinking of adding the 16-year-old to their ranks.
The principality club have become a victim of their own success lately, losing the likes of Kylian Mbappé (PSG), Benjamin Mendy (City) and Bernardo Silva (City) to name a few, and even their youth ranks aren’t safe from the wealthy elite of European football.
Wary of interest from afar, Monaco have opened discussions about tying down the prodigious youngster to a professional contract, and it remains to be seen if that will be enough to keep him away from the Manchester giants, or one of the other clubs keen on him.
Limoges-born Badiashile is a left-footed central defender and considered one of the jewels of Monaco’s academy. He has made 5 appearances for Monaco in the UEFA Youth League this season, his performances catching the attention of scouts.
