Manchester City’s ‘impossible’ quadruple hunt continues this afternoon with an FA Cup fourth round tie against Championship high-flyers Cardiff City in South Wales.
The Blues are fancied to win the game, but have faced difficult challenges from second tier sides Wolves and Bristol City already this season, and Neil Warnock’s Bluebirds will be hoping to pull off a big upset.
City last won the FA Cup in 2011, the end of a three decade-plus long trophy drought, when Yaya Touré struck a memorable winner against Stoke at Wembley. Pep Guardiola would love to lift the famous old trophy during his City tenure and can take another step towards doing that today.
Lee Mason is today’s referee and here are the sides selected by Guardiola and Warnock.
Cardiff City XI: Etheridge, Richards, Morrison (c), Ecuele Manga, Bennett, Paterson, Ralls, Grujic, Hoilett, Mendez-Laing, Zohore
Manchester City XI: Bravo, Walker, Danilo, Kompany (c), Otamendi, Fernandinho, Gündogan, De Bruyne, Bernardo, Sané, Sterling
