A couple more Laporte updates today from Spain. Firstly, claims from Marca that he underwent his first medical tests (a blood test) in Bilbao, and then from El Correo, information that he said his farewells to teammates.

After Laporte and possibly Fred, could City have a mystery signing lined up this month?

Confusion reigned today when Umbro announced City had signed New York City FC player Mix Diskerud… with neither club saying a word.

It turned out that City have taken on his contract and are looking to loan or quickly profit on the US international, who has recently been playing in Sweden.

City have nabbed one of PSG’s great young hopes, Claudio Gomes, as revealed the other day. And upon joining in the summer he will sign a long-term deal, despite only being 17 years of age.

A mini-saga has emerged with City-owned striker Larry Kayode going to Amiens, but it seems to be simply a case of priorities with the deal still likely to happen.

Bruno Zuculini is leaving Hellas Verona for River Plate and City are set to pocket around £1.1million from a sell-on clause.

Looking forward to seeing the Manchester City documentary on Amazon Prime? It will reportedly be even more revealing than first though, with permission granted to film some of Pep’s team talks.

That’s it for today. Keep your eyes peeled on @City_Watch and the site, day and night, as we work to deliver the latest City news, views, and other high-quality content.
