Aymeric Laporte underwent the first part of his Manchester City medical on Saturday morning in Bilbao, Spanish newspaper Marca reports.

Laporte had a blood test at a private medical center in Bilbao unaffiliated with Athletic Club, and did so with the full consent of the Basque club, who remain his employers until City formally trigger his €65million (£57million) clause.
The 23-year-old then moved to Instalaciones de Lezama, Athletic Bilbao’s training facilities, where he completed his final training session as an Athletic player, a half hour session where he mainly ran alongside Unai Núñez, the young defender likely to step in for him once he leaves.
Bilbao players have free days on Sunday and Monday, and Laporte is expected to travel to Manchester between Monday afternoon and Tuesday morning, where he is very likely to have further medical tests at City’s own facilities – which is standard for a €65million signing to ensure he is fully healthy.
