The 22-year-old has featured quite regularly for the star-studded Parisiens this season, starting 14 of their Ligue 1 games and appearing twice in the Champions League.
And he was on the radar of Pep Guardiola, the well-connected PSG source reports, with the Catalan making inquiries about Kimpembe’s situation, only to learn that the former France under-21 international wasn’t interested in leaving this month.
City instead decided to focus on Laporte, who is set to move to the Etihad for a club-record £57million fee in the coming days.
