After their recent approach to sign him, Chelsea have now received a “yes” response from former Manchester City striker Edin Dzeko on a return to the Premier League.
Transfer guru Gianluca Di Marzio of Sky Italia is reporting tonight that Antonio Conte’s team are now negotiating a double deal for both Dzeko and his Roma teammate Emerson Palmieri to move to the reigning English champions, after Dzeko gave his consent.

Roma have lowered their demands to €50million plus €10million in bonuses and Chelsea’s Michy Batshuayi could be included in the deal.
Dzeko, now 31 but enjoying some of the best form of his career, scored some of the biggest, most important goals in a new era of success for the club, finding the net 72 times in 189 appearances during his five seasons in Manchester.
He is now fondly remembered, particularly for his contributions in two Premier League title wins, but could soon be a danger to City if he lines up in a darker shade of blue.
