The 19-year-old attacker had his previous loan with Dutch side FC Twente cut short because of a lack of game time and is now moving to Pep Clotet’s side in the third tier of English football.
Clotet said of his young new recruit: “He is very fast, very skilful and I think the Oxford fans will like him because he is exciting to watch and always looking to make things happen.
“He is still very young but I know that he is very highly thought of at Manchester City who believe this is an important step in his development.
“It is great to hear once again that Oxford are held in such esteem and we will do all we can to help him continue to progress while playing an important role in the team.”
