Manchester City winger Marlos Moreno will return to South America in an attempt to try and get his career back on track after two failed loan spells since his £4.75million move to City from Atlético Nacional in 2016.
Moreno, who was dispatched to Deportivo La Coruña last season and partner club Girona FC for the first half of this campaign, is due to arrive in Rio de Janeiro on Saturday and undergo a medical ahead of joining Flamengo on loan.
Globo Esporte journalist Raphael Zarko revealed the news, with Moreno set to strengthen the Brazilian side ahead of their Copa Libertadores campaign this year.

“Not since the likes of Sergio Aguero, Alexis Sanchez and Neymar have I been so enthusiastic about a young player.”
Those were the words of BBC South American football correspondent Tim Vickery around the time Moreno joined City, but despite his enormous potential, the 21-year-old has struggled to adapt to European football and is poised to spend some time in Brazil.
