Liverpool have been boosted heading into their match against league leaders Manchester City on Sunday with coach Jurgen Klopp confirming top scorer Mo Salah is fit.
The Egyptian, who trails only Harry Kane in the leading scorer charts, had been a doubt for the game after missing Liverpool’s last two matches because of a groin problem.
However, Klopp confirmed that Salah will be fit to start when Liverpool look to continue their Anfield hoodoo over City that goes all the way back to 2003, when a Nicolas Anelka injury time goal gave City their last win at the famous stadium.
Liverpool could be without Jordan Henderson though, with Klopp admitting the England international hasn’t trained with the team.
“Hendo is outside on the pitch right now, he looks good but is not in team training so far,” the German tactician said.
“Moreno was back in team training yesterday for the first time. Sunday might be a little soon, he needs to do proper training.”
