Gabriel Jesus traveled to Barcelona again on Thursday to step up his recovery after suffering medial collateral ligament injury against Crystal Palace.
The 20-year-old will meet the famed doctor, Ramón Cugat, a man highly trusted by Pep Guardiola and who is frequently used by the Catalan coach to treat players with serious injuries.
According to journalist Caio Carrieri of UOL Esporte, Jesus is being accompanied by a businessman and Manchester City’s physiotherapist.
In a conversation with the Brazilian outlet, Jesus sounded confident, saying: “My head is good.”
And according to the businessman joining the Brazilian international, in conversation with UOL Esporte, Jesus is expected to be taken off crutches following his appointment with Dr Cugat.
This is significant news after fears he could miss the remainder of the season, and indeed he could be back in action between four and six weeks from now.
