Earlier today, Gabriel Jesus flew to Barcelona in the company of a businessman and Manchester City’s physiotherapist to receive tests from Pep Guardiola’s trusted doctor, Ramón Cugat.
An update this evening from major Brazilian outlet Globo Esporte has revealed the outcome – and the news is good.

After fears that he could have sustained a worse-than-expected injury, it turns out the original diagnosis stands, and the young Brazilian should be back within the predicted 4 to 6 week time frame (11 days have passed since his injury).
The purpose of the consultation in Barcelona was to know if there was any change in the initial diagnosis of an injury to the medial collateral ligament, but thankfully nothing new or unusual was spotted.
There is a possibility that Jesus will return to Barcelona in the next two or three weeks for further checks, but as it stands he could be back on the pitch in February.
