Kevin De Bruyne says Alexis Sanchez will add something to the Manchester City team when he signs.
In what may have been a slip of the tongue, the City playmaker seemed to give a spoiler that Alexis is Etihad-bound.
“(He is) a very good player. Obviously we will see what happens in this transfer period,” KDB told the press.
“If a good player comes to us that is better, if he doesn’t come we do it with the team we have. We are on a good period already – the whole season. Everybody is doing a good job.
“When he comes he will add something to the team.”
Does De Bruyne know something we don’t know? Maybe, maybe not. Belgian journalist Kristof Terreur explains that it could simply have been a language thing.
A typical mistake for Flemish / Dutch speakers. As if / when are constantly mixed up in our language and have pretty much the same meaning.

Alexis continues to be linked with a January move to the Etihad, although no deal has been struck yet and he is expected to start for Arsenal against Chelsea in tonight’s Carabao Cup semi-final first leg.
