No Spanish club can boast having more youngsters called up for Spain’s next under-17 international than Manchester City, who along with Atlético Madrid and Barcelona have seen a trio of teenagers summoned.
Santi Denia’s Spain U17s will take on their Italian counterparts in a friendly on January 17, and three City starlets have been included.
The first is Alpha Richard Dionkou, a 16-year-old right-back captured from Real Mallorca in 2017.
Fellow 16-year-old Nabil Touaizi, a forward who was brought in from Valencia last year, will join Dionkou in the selección.
And finally, the highly-rated former Barcelona youngster Eric García, 17, is included, a player who the Catalan club were distraught to lose, but who is now developing in City’s academy.
Elsewhere, Brahim Diaz of City has been included in Spain’s under-19 squad who will also face Italy next Wednesday.
