Gabriel Jesus is set for further medical tests this week with fears that he may have suffered a ruptured cruciate ligament, Spanish journalist Jose Alvarez Haya told ChiringuitoChampions on Sunday night.

The club are not 100 per cent sure yet what the full extent of his injury is and the outcome could affect January’s transfer plans, with further reports today that Alexis Sanchez is close to a move to Manchester City.
Should the worst case scenario occur, 20-year-old Jesus would miss out on his first possible World Cup representing the Brazil national team and would play no further part in City’s season.
City should have a final diagnosis on how serious Jesus’ injury is, and hopefully it will be the best case scenario of about a month out. If not, Arsenal may fancy raising the price of Alexis Sanchez…
23:00 UPDATE: This news has allegedly been denied by Gabriel’s agent.
Just spoke to Gabriel Jesus's agent, been told that the suspicion of ligament rupture is not true. @Sport_Witness
