There were multiple reports today, including one from Chilean journalist Maks Cárdenas, that Alexis Sanchez is edging closer to his much-wanted move to Manchester City from Arsenal.

Harry Maguire can be added to the growing list of centre-backs linked with a move to the Etihad, with the classy defender said to have impressed Pep.

Youngster Aaron Nemane who didn’t have much joy north of the border at Rangers, has joined Dutch second division side Go Ahead Eagles on loan for the remainder of the season.

Meanwhile, another up-and-comer, Lukas Nmecha, is close to renewing his contract and heading out on loan, despite interest from Everton.

Leroy Sané is also in line for a new deal before the World Cup.
