India has long been rumoured to be a potential expansion point for the CFG, with huge growth potential in the region, and the country’s football scene has been boosted by the ISL, which has managed to attract some big name managers and players.
There is no confirmation as to why exactly Soriano is in India, but his presence is likely to be for more than the enjoyment of watching a domestic game.
Mumbai City FC, who wear a dark blue strip, could be viewed as a potential candidate for the CFG, but at this point it is all speculation.
Certainly something to keep an eye on though, as the CFG looks to expand its impressive portfolio of clubs around the globe.
