Great news (and update) on David Silva ahead of Manchester City vs. Burnley FA Cup tie

Earlier today, reliable Spanish journalist Jose Alvarez Haya reported that David Silva was back in Spain – Valencia to be exact – to check his newborn son Mateo.

It seems that ‘El Mago’ is as hard to track off the pitch as on it, as Haya has posted a very encouraging update this evening. David Silva surprisingly returned to Manchester at midday and took part in City’s 4pm training session.

Subsequently, the 31-year-old midfielder is available for selection against Burnley should Pep Guardiola decide to use him. And hopefully this means good news on Silva’s prematurely born son Mateo, since he has returned earlier than expected.

And in recent minutes, the club has released a photo gallery that shows Silva in training.
