Referee appointed for Manchester City vs. Burnley (FA Cup, 06.01.2018)

Referee Graham Scott has been handed his second Manchester City assignment of the season and will take charge of this Saturday’s FA Cup tie with Burnley at the Etihad Stadium.

Oxfordshire native Scott previously took charge of City’s 2-0 win over Leicester at the King Power Stadium on November 18, a relatively incident-free game with just two yellow cards handed out.

The main controversy surrounding him that day was when he handed Vincent Kompany a yellow card for a foul on Jamie Vardy that many believed should have been a straight red.

This will be Scott’s first Burnley appointment of the campaign.
