Kevin De Bruyne could return to action as soon as Tuesday night, with Martin Blackburn and Dave Kidd of The Sun reporting that checks on the 26-year-old revealed no serious injury after he was the victim of a horror tackle by Crystal Palace’s Jason Puncheon.
Despite being stretchered off, De Bruyne was able to walk gingerly without crutches after the game and told reporters that he was “okay”.
And now, it is reported that he also told friends on Monday that he is fine and had nothing to worry about.
Pep Guardiola will decide on Tuesday morning whether to play him in the home game against Watford, as City look to return to winning ways following their 0-0 draw against Palace.
David Silva is also back in training, with The Sun backing up the earlier report from Spanish journalist Jose Alvarez Haya, and the 31-year-old has declared himself fit to play.
The news isn’t so bright for Gabriel Jesus after City tonight confirmed he has suffered medial collateral ligament injury – although it has not yet been confirmed what grade it is and how long his lay-off will be.
