Catch up on all of today’s Manchester City news with our City Summary!

Firstly, we hope everyone has a prosperous and safe 2018. Happy New Year!

The big news of the day is that David Silva is back in training and could well line up against Watford on Tuesday night!

Ederson has spoken about his crucial penalty save against Crystal Palace all the way back in 2017 (… yesterday), and revealed that he and Claudio Bravo study the opposition’s penalties before games. That explains a lot…

It’s a slightly biased list towards a certain team in white, but Madrid-based newspaper Marca has included seven Manchester City players on their Top 100 of 2017 list, with KDB the highest in 10th spot.

Graham Scott will take charge this Saturday as City enter the FA Cup with a potentially challenging tie against Sean Dyche’s Burnley at the Etihad.

City youngster Divine Naah has been on trial in Belgium with AFC Tubize. His future will be decided before the end of January.

Finally, City Watch writer Thom Harris has gone through every goal in 2017 (that’s over 150!) and ranked his top 25. Be sure to check out his two-parter and let us know if you agree with his selections.

That’s it for today. Keep your eyes peeled on @City_Watch and the site, day and night, as we work to deliver the latest City news, views, and other high-quality content.
