Nicolas Otamendi has been voted the City Watch Player of the Month after thousands of Blues voted for the standout player in December.
‘El General’ was outstanding in the festive period, not only performing his defensive duties well in the absence of John Stones and often Vincent Kompany, but also finding the net against West Ham and Manchester United.
City have kept clean sheets in four of their last five games in all competitions, and Otamendi has been a major part of that with his tackles, interceptions and clearances.
Otamendi received 56% of the vote, ahead of Kevin De Bruyne (18%), Raheem Sterling (18%) and Ederson (8%).
