Eddie Howe has confirmed that Bournemouth have a serious problem with injuries ahead of tomorrow’s Premier League clash with Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium.
The Cherries boss confirmed that Jermain Defoe and Harry Arter will miss the game, with Josh King a major doubt.
Charlie Daniels is also unlikely to make it, while Brad Smith, Adam Federici and Tyrone Mings are definitely out.
“We’ve suddenly been hit with injuries at the worst time, it’s not ideal for us but hopefully none of them are too serious,” Howe said at his pre-match press conference on Friday.
“Firstly we’re sending Jermain to see a specialist and we’ll know more on the back of those results.
“But we are concerned that it could be a more serious injury than an ankle twist, but we’ll wait and see.
“It’s difficult to speculate until we get a specialist’s opinion.
“As for Charlie, he has a tendon problem which we don’t think is serious, it’s been niggling him for a week or so.”
