Referee appointed for Leicester vs. Manchester City (19.12.2017) – Blues won’t be happy

Bobby Madley, the only referee Manchester City haven’t won a Premier League game under so far this season, has been appointed for City’s trip to Leicester next Tuesday in the Carabao Cup.

Madley controversially and mysteriously sent off Kyle Walker against Everton in the 1-1 draw at the Etihad, the only blemish on an otherwise perfect league record to date.

The 32-year-old from West Yorkshire hasn’t officiated a City game since, but will be tasked with this Carabao Cup quarter-final appointment.

As for Leicester, Madley also has one fixture this season to his name, their 2-2 draw away at Stoke in early November.

Full list of appointments for Leicester City vs. Manchester City in the Carabao Cup:

Referee: Robert Madley
Assistant Referee: Marc Perry
Assistant Referee: Constantine Hatzidakis
Fourth Official: Stuart Attwell
