Manchester City will lose out in the race to sign Liverpool midfielder Emre Can on a free transfer in the summer, with TMW in Italy reporting that he will, in all likelihood, be joining Juventus.
The hard work of Juventus sporting director Fabio Paratici going back months gave the Old Lady an edge in the hunt for Can, 23, who has rejected a new contract at Anfield.
And despite attempts by both City and Bayern Munich to sign the German international, he has his heart set on a move to Turin.
It is reported that City and Bayern both made concrete attempts to strike an agreement with Can, but were unsuccessful, despite being able to offer him ambitious projects at the top of their leagues.
Can wants to try an Italian adventure and barring any major surprises, such as a change of heart and renewing at Liverpool, he will head to Juventus in 2018 and reinforce their midfield.
