City Summary – December 12: New deal for Brazilian, City look to Italy for defender, Pep discusses Kompany and derby

Catch up on all of today’s Manchester City news with our City Summary!

According to a report in his homeland of Brazil, Gabriel Jesus is edging closer to a contract renewal and will bag himself a nice pay-rise in the process.

A report in Italy claims that City have earmarked the impressive Inter defender Milan Škriniar as a man to strengthen central defence next year.

At his pre-Swansea presser, Pep Guardiola said he had no regrets over City’s post-derby celebration, which he felt were normal.

The bad news: Vincent Kompany is out injured again and will not play tomorrow. The good news: It isn’t as bad as feared and he will return soon.

If City want to play music tomorrow night, Swansea have no objections – unlike sore loser Jose Mourinho.

Finally, City stars are receiving more and more recognition for their talents, something lacking in previous years. The CIES Football Observatory has four of them in their best team of the last ‘semester’ in football.

That’s it for today. Keep your eyes peeled on @City_Watch and the site, day and night, as we work to deliver the latest City news, views, and other high-quality content.
