The career of Manchester City icon Joe Hart continues to stumble, with England’s number one losing his West Ham place for today’s London derby against Chelsea.
Hart, who is still a City player but on his second successive loan move away from the Etihad, has been dropped in favour of Spanish shot-stopper Adrián, ironically because of Adrián’s impressive performance against Hart’s parent club last weekend.

This could give City a problem next summer, as they had hoped that the Hammers, now coached by David Moyes, would sign the 30-year-old permanently. Joe will have just one year remaining on his City deal, and because of his high salary, he has proven difficult to sell.
Unless Hart can win back his West Ham spot and put himself in the shop window – perhaps earning a permanent move to the London Stadium – City may have no choice but to loan him out for the remainder of his contract.
For now, he will remain in London, with David Moyes confirming at his latest press conference that Hart’s loan deal will not be cut short.
One thing is for sure, City’s title-winning fan favourite has no future at the Etihad, with Pep Guardiola very specific about what he needs from a goalkeeper, and that is what Ederson has been showing this season with his awesome footwork and shot-stopping.
