Rock legend Noel Gallagher has, not for the first time, spoken highly of Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola, who he described as a “proper dude”.
Speaking to the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast on talkSPORT, Noel said of Pep: “He’s just like one of the lads. He’s a dude, man, he’s a proper dude.
“I literally go into that ground when I go and watch that team and think this is the greatest thing I’ve ever seen in my entire life.”
The former Oasis man expects Jose to be Jose and approach the game with a cynical side, including sending out Fellaini to do a job on one of City’s maestros.
“Fellaini will be going out given strict instructions to kill either one of Silva or De Bruyne. Or both.”
Who genuinely enjoys the derby (until their team wins)? Very few, and Noel counts himself among those.
“I don’t like derby day, I’ve never enjoyed it. It’s too stressful.
“Genuine football supporters will want to get the derby out of the way.
“Wake up, call it a draw, and move on.”
