Jose Mourinho confirms two missing for Man United against Man City, one in doubt

Jose Mourinho has given a Manchester United fitness update ahead of this Sunday’s Manchester derby.

The United boss confirmed that Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Phil Jones are available for selection again, while Nemanja Matic is “injured, but he plays.”

Marouane Fellaini, who Noel Gallagher reckons could be sent out to ‘kill’ De Bruyne or David Silva, is a doubt and a decision on his availability will be made tomorrow.

Both Eric Bailly and Michael Carrick are confirmed to be out through injury, while of course Paul Pogba is sidelined through suspension after picking up a red card against Arsenal during the week.

City have injury concerns of their own, with neither Vincent Kompany or Fabian Delph confirmed to play yet, but in with a shout, and John Stones and Benjamin Mendy long-term absentees.

Pep Guardiola did confirm at his press conference today though, that David Silva is fit and ready for Sunday’s crunch clash.
