Manchester City invite Venezuelan and Argentine teen starlets to train for a week

Manchester City have invited two teenagers from Club Atlético Torque to spend a week training at the state-of-the-art Etihad Campus, the Uruguayan side has confirmed.

Torque, one of three City Football Group members in the past year to win promotion to their country’s top flight, will send Valentín Castellanos and Nahuel Ferraresi, both 19-years-old, to Manchester for a week’s worth of experience.

Castellanos is an Argentine midfielder who Torque recruited from Club Universidad de Chile B on an initial loan deal last season.

And Ferraresi is a highly-rated Venezuela U20 international defender who plays predominantly as a centre-back and joined Torque from Táchira earlier this year.

Torque’s involvement in the City Football Group gives the network a hub in South America where young talents such as these two can develop before potential moves to Europe.
