Manchester City are very attentive to the development of highly-rated Fiorentina winger Federico Chiesa and have had scouts watch him on multiple occasions this season, Calciomercato reports.
The 20-year-old has been impressive in his 14 appearances for La Viola, contributing 4 goals and 1 assist while showing great trickery playing on both wings.
As a result of his performances, interest is growing in Chiesa and despite Fiorentina recently tying him down to a new deal, the big clubs aren’t going away. Domestic giants Napoli and Inter are thinking about him, while in France there are rumours of interest from Paris Saint-Germain.
Pep Guardiola can now be added to the list of Federico Chiesa’s admirers, with Calciomercato confirming that ‘on more than one occasion’ City, who are also watching another rising Serie A star, Lazio’s Sergej Milinković-Savić, have had a presence at Fiorentina games.
To date, City have gone no further but remain attentive to Chiesa’s development as a player and could look to recruit him as an additional option on the wings in future if he continues to shine in Florence.
